Biography
Bin Yu received his Ph.D. degree in atmospheric sciences from the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing in 1993, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Washington, Seattle (1997-1999) and the Canadian Centre for Climate Modelling and Analysis, Victoria (2000-2003). Dr. Yu has been a Research Scientist at the Climate Research Division of Environment and Climate Change Canada, Toronto, since 2004. His research interests involve climate variability and climate change, climate sensitivity and feedback, atmospheric circulation and teleconnection, and tropical meteorology. Dr. Yu’s research contributes to understanding of climate processes, climate variability and climate change, and to climate prediction.
